Thanksgiving Day Deals... I was kind of disappointed because they were out of several of the things that I wanted to get. I guess overall, I didn't do too bad though. This is the very first shopping trip that I prayed over before I went in. It was my best deal yet (until Friday that is). I paid .94 out of pocket (.75 of that was tax). This also included a 1.00 donation to some charity, which you can't see in the picture.



Black Friday Deals...
I happened to be in town again, so I thought I'd go look again. I'm glad I did. I found a couple more deals that I missed (passed up) the first day. This day I paid .36 out of pocket. I used a 5/25 and 2/10 coupon to help pay for the stuff that didn't earn ECB's.

This Weeks Deals

Meijer: The Betty Crocker Potatoes are now marked down to .88 (**Edited to add: The potatoes are at Walmart**) which is a great deal anyways, but add a .50 coupon and you get them for .38! The Frito's and Cheetos are buy 2 get 2 free at 2.29 a bag., so about 1.15 a bag.
The Super Pretzels are .99, I had a .75 coupon and I think 1.00/2.

Walgreens:

The shampoo was free. It was bogo at Walgreens and I had a bogo coupon. The Christmas cards are buy 1 get 2 free and they were 3.99 a box. Superglue was on clearance for .24 each. The mixed nuts were 1.99 (they are for one of my residents at work). The peanut butter was 2/3 and then I had 2 .35 coupons. The Theraflu was .99 after coupons. The Nutripals bars were on clearance for 2.99 and I had a 2.00 coupon. The sugar was .59 w/ a coupon I think.

Walmart:
I found this cool pocket chart for homeschooling. It was on clearance for 5.00 and holds word cards or sentence strips. The M & M's were 1.00 a bag after coupons at CVS. The Curves cereal is a free sample from the web. The Bath and Body bath gel was given to me by someone at work.

Walgreens Deals

I got the Playtex and Purell free after coupons.

The Toothbrush and denture cleaner will be free after rebate.

The All was on clearance for 1.62 and I had a .50 coupon making it 1.12.

The Playdoh was on clearance for .24. It is white and the only one they had.

The soap was on sale for 5/1.00.

The Hershey kisses. They were supposed to be on sale for 2/4 and then there was a $2 off 2 coupon. For some reason the first one rang up for 1.25. So the cashier adjusted the next one to 1.25. Then my coupon came 1.00 off instead of 2.00, but I only ended up paying .75 a piece, so I'm not complaining!

The kisses are are potty prizes and everyone gets one when Isaiah goes potty. We are ALL happy when he goes. Ha ha.

My total before coupons was $27.49. I had $18.49 in coupons which took me down to $10.12. However, I got $10 in Extra Bucks to spend next time at CVS, so my real total is 12 cents!

Total was $34.76. I had 17.92 in sales savings and $16 in coupon savings for a total of 33.92 savings- almost 50% off my bill!

Guess How Much...

The answer is $23.62. I need to figure out the retail value, then it would seem more impressive.

Bargain Babies

Meijer-

Rediserve Chicken (like frozen chicken patties, nuggets, dinosaur shapes) 10/10 and get the 11th free.

Capri Sun (to have on hand for outings and such, not a daily drink). Buy 2 get 2 free. This comes out to $1 a box!

All Chex Mix was on sale for 1/2 off. I picked up a bag of pb for 1.29, but I had a .50 coupon that doubled and got it for .29.

Pillsbury Brownie Batter is on sale for 4/6. I usually wouldn't buy this. I bought 2 for $3 and then had two .50 coupons that both doubled, so I got 2 for $1 or .50 each.

Same with the Pillsbury Ready to Bake cookies. They were 4/6. I bought two and had a 1.00 off two coupon, so I paid $1 each for those.

Gallon of milk for 2.50.

Rite Aid-

Xtra Laundry Detergent and Fabric Softer 1.99 each

Kraft Caramels .99 a bag ((I always have a fall recipe that calls for caramels although Tim has been eying these already. Guess I should have gone with my gut and got two bags!)

Walgreens-

They have a coupon in their flyer for 4 bars of soap for $1. It is their brand and they have one like Irish Spring and one like Dial. You can get up to 8 bars at that price. This may only be good Tues- Thurs

They also have a coupon in their flyer for 5 Royal Gelatin (Jello) for $1 limit 5

I finally found a Pantene Texturize Shampoo 4.99, but they have a 4.99 rebate, so free after I get that back.

** Edited to add. I also got a package of Pampers Feel and Learn pull ups for 5.29 on clearance and had a $2 off coupon, so paid $3.29. Who cares if they are pink and Dora? He wears them to bed!

I'm sure there are some others, but that's all I can think of right now. Those were the best ones.

Bargain Braggin'

I went garage sale-ing from about 9 am to 5 pm today. The first 3 hours were with Amanda (and my boys) and then after noon, it was just the boys and I. One of the last sales I went to the lady told me I could have whatever I wanted for free. This is what I got there:

Some fabric, a bunch of candles/holders, some hats for the boys, a picture frame, a Hallmark ornament, a journal, some crochet books, knitting needles, Velcro, a bunch of ribbon and an antenna booster (don't ask me, but it's something Tim wanted for his TV in the garage).

I also got these things for free at another sale:

An old school reading book, a money management book, Spiderman book, and a kit for teaching 3-6 year olds fire safety.

Toaster Strudels and Toaster Scrambles for 1.00

Kraft shredded and chunk cheese for 1.00

and I think it's Hillshire Farms lunch meat for 1.00

also, some Kellogs cereals for 2.00 a box. We got Fruit Loops.

I got these four shirts at the Volunteers of America. I needed some new shirts for work and just something else to wear besides t shirts. I paid a total of $2.65 for them. I love the brown one, it is a little small, but I have hopes to get into it before summer is over. It was only .50. They had 1/2 off all yellow tags yesterday.
I got these at IGA. Betty Crocker brownie mix (13 x 9 size) for 1.00, 50 oz applesauce for 1.00, Kool Aid (Tim's the only one who drinks this, lest you all think I'm a bad mother) 10 for 1.00, 5 lb. bag of potatoes for 1.00, bananas .19 a lb., and Hunts spaghetti sauce .99.
I also got refill pages for scrapping and a few stickers at Hobby Lobby for 50% off.
