The idea for this craft is not original. I can't remember which blog I saw it on.
Cast of characters:
-One two liter bottle with the top cut off (I prefer Diet Coke).
-a cute piece of scrapbook paper (I used a vintage looking Valentine one)
-Scissors
-Tape
-bulbs to force (mine are
paper whites-coffee filter/rocks
Cut top off of two liter bottle and invert.
Cover bottle with scrapbook paper of your choice.
Looking inside. I went to put rocks in it, but some of them went through to the bottom, so I put in a coffee filter and then rocks. So far it is working.
Place bulbs halfway into rocks and cover 1/2 way with water.
Notice the pretty heart doily made for me by my
FSIL (favorite sister in law). She made me one for every month of the year last Christmas!

Sonya you are too funny!
Yeah Jello cake, I had a moment last week when I was making jello cake cupcakes for the boys party wondering when my life went from jello shots to jello cake?
Really neat! Do you think it would work with irises or cannas? They are rhizomes not actually bulbs, but I have a lot of extras right now.
I would tink it might work. I guess it couldn't hurt to try! You could also try daffodils and I think maybe tulips.
