My first turkey

Up until Christmas day, I have never made a turkey. I had a turkey once and let it sit in my freezer for 2-3 years. This year I was determined to cook my turkey that I received from work. Due to an error in ordering, we were given larger than normal turkeys. This one was 18-20 lbs.

The turkey and I. You know, just to prove I was actually there.
The finished product. Not too shabby if I say so myself. (Note: If you don't "truss" the legs together, it kind of splits up the middle. Not a big deal really, just doesn't look as picture perfect as those in the magazines).

The Christmas dinner partakers.

If only my rolls had turned out as well....sigh.

Stay tuned to see who gets their wish granted from the wishbone...will it be Tim or Lura?

Looks wonderful! I love turkey, you can just eat the tops of the rolls.

wow! i'm proud of you. I haven't actually cooked a turkey yet - Brian proudly tackles that duty.

Your rolls look like mine usually do!
