Our gardens

About a week or so ago, we got most of our gardens planted. We added a second garden this year for watermelon, pumpkins, and sweet corn. In the first garden we have banana peppers, green peppers, tomatoes, lettuce, carrots, radishes, green beans, and onions.

First garden:
Second garden:
I also planted marigolds around the edge. I think that is supposed to keep the rabbits out. If nothing else, it looks pretty. I will add updated pictures soon. Several of the veggies have popped up, along with some weeds.

Oh Lura, you are so lucky to have the space to do that. I want to too but my dog would eat em. I wanted to put it in the front yard but Crys said that that would be WHITE TRASH of me. I didn't know trash ate veggies...

Keep us posted. I hope Crys plants some of that stuff so I can get free veggies...or Jamie..someone close so I can go "shopping" for free veggies.

How is our daughter???

Charity does container gardens, you could do that. Maybe she will post some pics on her blog of her "gardens" from past years.

Yep, I do container gardening because we lack the space. That and we aren't allowed to plant a garden in the ground.
I'll look and see if I have any pictures. There is a lot of information on the internet and at the library on it.
I plant my herbs and flowers in the ground in our flower bed.

I hope your garden thrives! Ohhh.... home made salsa is very yummy! We love making it. I've always wanted to can it.
