Monday night I really wanted to do some "pleasure" reading. A book, a magazine, whatever. Actually, I've been wanting some time to just read for quite awhile now. I got home fairly early from work (9:30 pm), but I was just so tired that I ended up going to bed after talking to Tim and some computer time.
Tuesday morning the boys came in and woke me up shortly after 6:00. I laid there for awhile and then I decided that I would look at a magazine while they were playing. As I glanced at Family Circle, Tyler came over and said "Mommy, you need to read your Bible". Ouch! He was right, and so that is what I did.
"Thank you God that my children have seen me read the Bible in the morning and that they expect that from me. I should expect that out of me too."
I have been trying to read through the Bible in a year. I am about 2 weeks behind on my Old Testament section (Kings and Chronicles aren't my thing, but some good books like Esther are coming up). I am up to date on my New Testament reading and am in the book of John.

Boy, I know what you mean! I need to read mine on a daily basis too. What version is your Bible??? Mine is the New Living translation and I love it! It's all in terms that I can understand........the King James version was impossible for me to grasp.
good for you
that little tyler tells it like it is huh? I think my son just told me to eat a hot fudge cake...gotta run
Sonya, you're so funny. It's great that our kids keep us on our toes!! I started the bible in a year in January and only kept up with it for a month!! I guess anytime is a good time to get it started back up again, thanks for the encouragement!!!
Thank you so much for letting me know about the inappropriate video connected to the Mom video I had on my blog. I've deleted the post. Thanks again for the heads up.
It took me a minute to find what you were talking about. I didn't even realize the You Tube served up other videos "inside" the video I selected. Thanks...
