Perfect Weekend

This past weekend was just about perfect in my book.

On Friday I went to get my pictures developed. The boys and I went garage sale-ing and found several deals. I even found a potato bin that I've wanted and it fits perfectly in the pantry.

On Saturday, I got up early and drove about an hour and 45 min. for the crop (scrapbooking day). It was from 9 am to 7 pm. I got to see Sonya, Jamie, Cheryl, and Charity. We enjoyed yummy food all day. There were donuts, fruit, chocolate, desserts, and a yummy Hawaiian chicken over rice with pineapple, coconut, cherries, and celery for lunch. For supper there were grilled burgers and hot dogs, chips, and more of the yummy desserts. During the day we had a lot of fun talking and scrapping. I got all of the pictures into Isaiah's album of his first year. Now I just need to add stickers and journaling. They also had a guy there who gave free 10 minute massages and that was nice.

After the crop, the five of us went out for ice cream and then shopping at the Dollar Tree. It was a lot of fun. It's not very often that I laugh like I did that day/night. Then Charity and I went back to her house and scrapped a little bit more before I finally gave into exhaustion and fell asleep on her couch.

I slept in till 9:30 which may be the best part of the weekend! When I woke up, I had some yummy bread that Jacob had made. Then we talked and I played a game with Jacob. It was nice to do something with him and not have to worry about someone asking me for something or interrupting. For lunch we went to Sonic (yum) and then Charity and I went to the Half Price Bookstore. Oh my! That is like taking a recovering alcoholic into a bar. (Except that I've never been sober.) Thankfully Tim has my credit cards and I was limited in what I could purchase. We went back to Charity's and I packed up my things and left. I got home around 6:30 pm. The great thing I found when I got home was that all the dishes were done and the floor had been swept!

It just doesn't get much better than this weekend. Although, last Sunday, was pretty great too!

It does sound like a perfect weekend. It was a lot of fun!
I will post your Sonic pictures soon! You were having lots of giggly fun with my boys on the way to Sonic and back.
I knew you'd love the bookstore. It is like one huge garage sale of books. You guys should have seen Lura.... her eyes were huge and she had this panicy look like she wanted to look at every book but knew she couldn't. haha! And now she wants gift cards to this book store for her birthday and Christmas. She did mention about 3 times about being glad Tim had her credit card and she counted her money - including coins - about 4 times.
We both bought books. I found some great clearance books. Jacob loves Garfield and Lura found 2 for me in the clearance section for a buck a piece. I also found some Scooby books for Travis.
Lura? What did you get? :)
