Works for Me Wednesday

Anyone who knows me, knows I hate to pay any more than I have to for groceries. One way I avoid doing that is to make my own "instant oatmeal" for the boys. Today the boys helped me measure the ingredients and put them into individual serving size containers. I found the recipe that I use here:

I also made a batch of waffles today and put them in a container in the freezer to be used on days that I don't have a lot of time to make breakfast. They can be taken right from the freezer and put into the toaster or microwave. Also, I add a jar of baby food to the mix to sneak some fruits and veggies into my boys. You will need to leave out some of the liquid in order to compensate for the baby food. If you don't have baby food on hand, add your own pureed fruits or veggies. Today we added sweet potatoes to the waffles.
