Cookie Decorating

On Monday we had friends over to help us decorate Spring Cookies. The kids loved it! There was SO much frosting and SO many sprinkles. I tried a new cut out cookie recipe that I really liked. I usually have problems with my cut outs spreading and not keeping their shape, but these stayed perfect (June, the cookies WERE perfect, right?). :) The fact that they also had almond extract in them was a bonus!

Easter Morning

We don't do the Easter bunny at our house. The boys knew that it was going to be Easter, but I don't think they realized they were going to be getting baskets in the morning. Last year I put them on the dining room table and they found them there. This year I had the brilliant idea to put them in their rooms so they would see them when they woke up. Well, they did. Apparently they woke up at 4:30 am and turned the light on and woke each other up! Tim stumbled out after me and asked me what I was doing. I of course, had to take pictures (there's no re-enacting the joy at a more respectable time). Then I promptly made them go back to bed (which they sort of did).

Day after Easter ponderings...

I'm pretty sure that the man (and yes I'm sure it's a man) who invented Easter grass didn't have children.

Have a Blessed Easter!

"This is how much God loved the world: He gave his Son, his one and only Son. And this is why: so that no one need be destroyed; by believing in him, anyone can have a whole and lasting life".
-John 3:16 (The Message)
