Tasty Tuesday

I have found the best bread recipe EVER! I'm not kidding. This stuff is good. The best part is that it's simple and foolproof. Really. No kneading, no punching and rising again. You can find the recipe and the details here. I'm too lazy to retype that or even copy and past it. At first, I thought I totally ruined the dough. I was on the phone while adding the flour and was sure I'd added too much. After all, my dough was supposed to conform to the bowl and it didn't look like it was going anywhere. But I decided to leave it alone and it did this...
Prepared pans in the oven, ready for the bread.

The loaf before...

The loaf after...

Pure heaven I'm telling you. That crunchy chewy yummy crust. Wow. Just like being at Panera. The best part is that the dough makes enough for 4 loaves, and you can keep the extra dough in the fridge for up to 2 weeks. This is my kind of bread!!

That looks great! Do you recommend this over the bread machine? Sometimes I just feel like making bread the old fashioned way since I know that will turn out well all of the time and it seems like other bread recipes aren't consistently good.

It is very, very good.
It tasted just like Panera!!!
The kids liked it too. Jacob said it was like eating heaven. Travis said it needed jelly. ha! :-)
Now, may I please have the whole wheat recipe?

I think it depends on what kind of bread you are looking for. I like this to eat w/ meals and Matthew says it is good toasted, but I don't think I'd use it for sandwiches. Not in this shape anyways. I have another bread machine recipe that I like for dinner rolls, I just mix them in there and then bake them in the oven. I'll have to share that one soon.

Oh dear. Oh my goodness. Oh sweet lover of crunchy bread - this looks DELICIOUS! Is it bad that if that were sitting in front of me I'd want to shove the entire thing into my mouth at once? I just can't savor good food, and, man, does this look good!

I would mess this up, I am sure of it. Can you make some in 2 weeks? Oh, that or the moneky thing you made? Jamie and I loved that moneky stuff with all the goo at the bottom. OHHH
