Sleeping in....

always has a price. This morning I stayed in bed, dozing on and off, after the boys woke up. I could tell they were playing nicely together (for a change). Well, it seems that they decided to fix their own breakfast. Apparently they ran out of butter and got some more out of the fridge. Since it was cold, they had to heat it up in the microwave like mommy does. They used half a bottle of my Watkins Cinna-Cream Sprinkles (which are like powdered gold around here). At $5 a bottle, those are usually reserved for the adults of the house who can discern the quality, while the boys are usually relegated to plain ol' cinnamon sugar.
Time remaining on the microwave....6 minutes and thirty seconds. That's a long time to be melting butter boys....

I know all about the price of time by yourself...it stinks. my house is trashed when i lay in bed and let my boys play.

haha thank goodness they didn't put a metal knife in there! I have a story about what Cam did while I was napping once.......oh boy what a mess!

you're looking at this all wrong! think about the teamwork that was probably involved. planning, math skills, scientific principles . . . this was a fantastic day for homeschooling!

Haha, I bet you taught them how to make breakfast for real after that! I think we were about their age when Dad announced that it was time for us to start fixing our own breakfasts too.
