Going Forward

While I am obviously disappointed in the results of last nights election, I am not bitter or angry. I am saddened.

I have much I want to say about abortion and the economy, but that will wait for another day.

Until then, go here and read this excellent post by Randy Alcorn It’s Over; but It’s not Over (one Day it will be) . This is how I want to respond, even if my flesh cries out otherwise.

I did vote for McCain, but I can't say I'm sad. Just like Randy Alcorn said, there are still lots of ways we can fight for the things we believe in no matter who's our leader. We listened to the Saddleback forum the other night and while Obama did say that he's pro-choice he also said something important that republicans don't seem to touch on and that is that if we want abortion to stop, then we need to make more positive ways for women in bad situations to carry their babies to term (like making adoption easier, etc.). That doesn't make it right, I know, but it does offer a ray of hope in the right direction.

I agree! If we truly want to stop abortion, we need to focus more on educating people about other options, and making those options easier. We also need to educate kids on making better choices, and get morality back into our society.
