Tuesday Bluesday

I am so tired this morning. All I want to do is go back to bed.

Yesterday I got up early and spent 3 hours cleaning our bedroom before the boys woke up. I still have some more sorting and things to do, but it looks a lot better. I even worked or cleaning up candle wax from a candle that had overflowed onto the carpet and wall several months ago. It also dripped onto a window screen. It's one of those things that only took about 20 min. to do, but I have been putting it off forever.

To get candle wax off of carpet: Cut up a brown paper grocery bag into strips or large pieces. Heat iron. Put bag on top of wax and run a warm/hot iron over the top of bag. The wax will soak into the bag and not hurt your iron. Keep moving clean spots of the bag over the wax and iron until no more wax comes through. The wax did come off of the screen this way too.

Last night after supper I went and walked 2.5 miles on the treadmill. I'm trying to make up for my weekend when I gave in to my cravings for about 26 hours. I didn't eat for 26 hours straight, but I didn't worry about what I ate for 26 hours. I had cake, pasta salad, potato salad, monkey bread, pizza, ice cream, Reese cups, M & M's, mozzarella sticks, onion rings, etc. The cravings are gone, which is good, but the scale is showing a 5 lb. gain. Blah!

I know you will get back on track with your dieting. Good job with the treadmill and you know how impressed I am by your room cleaning. Was Tim impressed?

Good job on the wax. we have a carpet spill too except ours has been there for 4 or 5 years!!

too bad you gained but you can get it back off. YOU CAN DO IT!!!

Oh your mention of monkey bread made me want some. i think you should make some for us for Saturday. jamie and I loved that crap so much!!

i know. it is so hard to eat the right things. i try to have things i like in moderation or else i will just pig out if i deprive myself all together.

You'll get back into it! It's ok to fall off the wagon some times. The important thing is getting back on! :)
Walking is great for you, not only for the weight loss, so keep walking baby!
Good job on the cleaning! I hope to do some this week and I still need to get my scrappin stuff around!

isn't amazing how slowly the weight comes off, but how quickly it goes right back on? Life's just not fair!

Thanks for the tip on wax. We have some on our bedroom furniture!! I don't know if it'll come off with the iron, I'd be afraid to burn it. Oh and I don't even want to know what you were doing when the wax got on the window screen!!!

I have done that iron thing for wax spills before.....it does work well for carpets. I want some monkey bread too......I have never had it but it looks so good!
