Yesterday we had a soup swap at work. We had 8 participants. Everyone brought in 4 quarts of soup (one quart per container). We sampled all of the soups. Then we picked numbers and all got to pick out the four soups that we wanted to take home. I took in 5 quarts, so I got to take 5 home. These were the soup flavors:
1. Cheesy Chicken Chowder (this is what I made).
2. Mushroom Chowder (this was like cream of mushroom with broccoli)
3. Wisconsin Beer Cheese Soup *
4. Chicken Tortilla Soup*
5. Stuffed Pepper Soup
6. Pork Stew**
7. Chicken Soup with Pasta*
8. Various Soup packets (brought by my boss who cheated).
I've put a * next to the ones that I came home with. Everyone loved the Chicken Tortilla Soup. It had tortilla chips, cheese, and sour cream to put on top. It was a lot of fun. Next time we are just going to do it as a fund raiser and sell the quarts. If you are interested in having a soup swap, check out this link for National Soup Swap Day Blog.
