I want people to see less of me in 2007. Less of me as in losing weight and also less of me as in seeing more Christ less me.
I'm not really one to make serious resolutions every year, but it does seem like a good time to prioritize the things in my life. I have really been thinking about the difference between what I want to do with my life and what I actually do.
I'm going to start a list of things today that I want to do. I want to start living more intentionally. A lot of days it seems like we just survive. I want to do more that just survive. Some things are goofy and others are more serious. One of them that I want to be the kind of mom that brushes her kids teeth every day. I know, my mom (and my dentist) is gasping with the thought that I don't do that already. Hey, nobody is perfect! I need to stop talking about what I want to do and put those things into action. So, here I go....I'm going to write my list. (And brush my kids teeth).

You are funny. I have the SAME problem. I am terrible about Sammy's teeth. Now that he is in school, I do it everyday but I am bad about it if we do not go somewhere. I can't wait to see this list!
Make sure and use the new Thomas toothbrushes and toothpaste their Aunt Charity got them for Christmas! :)
Oh, and I love the Mickey head wreath picture in this post! Awesome! haha
About brushing teeth, something I did with both of my boys is I hung up a fun little list in their rooms that listed the things they needed to do for themselves everyday. Get dressed, brush teeth, brush hair ect. Then I had another list that was their chore list, clean up toys, empty small trash cans, set the table, etc. They would look at this list every day and check things off as they did them......it was really good because after a while, it became their routine instead of a list to follow. It also puts some of the responsibility on them and takes some off of you.
I thought the same thing about the wreath.
Are those wreaths at your house? Is part of the list to spend less time listening to Amanda complain?
Um no, and no.
We'd like to hear MORE of you now...please
i would love to be your diet buddy in 2007! my new years resolution is to really think about everything i eat and whether i actually want it, or i'm just putting in my mouth for something to do.
for brushing teeth, you just have to make it part of the routine. then they'll remember, even if you don't. tanis knows he has to brush his every night before his bath. (we're working on mornings, too, but hey, as long as it's once a day, i figure that's not too bad!) he also really likes the electric toothbrush my mom got him.
