Sunday's Deals

Yes, I do have an addiction to CVS. My mom and I had a mother/daughter day out yesterday. We went to an antique/primitives store and had lunch there. Then we went shopping and my mom bought me some new clothes to wear for Christmas. It was nice to be spoiled! Then on the way home, we stopped at CVS to pick up a some much needed Kleenex (2 boys have runny noses) and also to get a few deals. I paid .85 out of pocket. I didn't want the M & M's, but I needed to add something extra to use one of my ECB's, so I ended up paying a little more than I had planned. Oh well. I had 2 $1 coupons for the popcorn and it was 2/3 so I paid .50 a box. The Benefiber was free after coupons and ECB's. I did end up burning about $2 in ECB's, but I did need the Kleenex, so I really don't mind. Check back tomorrow and maybe I'll have some Thanksgiving pictures posted.

It is always good to add chocolate if you need a little extra something. I'm glad you had a good day with your mom.

Very good!! I'm doing my CVS run tonight, hopefully I'll get some good deals there too! I love days with my mom, it's fun to spend those times together.

oh lura, i am just starting cvs and i know what you mean about being addicted. I drive by it and quietly ask my husband to go in again. he is OVER CVS already.

I do have to say that I am using a lot of cash (like 2-3 dollars at a time) because I refuse to burn ecbs. If it comes to 3 bucks and my lowest ecb is 5, i just use cash. i am not sure what else to do other than buy stuff I don't want.

also, do you know if you earn back the money from your total before or after coupons? If it was before, i'd make a fortune because I keep using the monitors (19.99) to boost my total to use bigger $ off coupons.

Ya know the 5/30 expired yesterday.

I'm not sure I know what you mean by earning money back before or after coupons. I guess it could be either depending on if you're getting ECB's back or not. Like if you have coupons for hair color that is 5.99 and you are getting 5.99 ECB's. Say you use $1 off coupon, you're only paying 4.99 for 5.99 ECB's. So you'd be getting your money back after. If you add something that costs $1 when you do that transaction, then you would be getting it at the same time. Does that make sense?

In order to get your total above the ECB's, buy things you need and would have to buy somewhere else, like diapers or wipes, kleenex, etc. Anything. Just make sure it's not going to cost you more than what you would pay somewhere else for it, or it's not a deal.

no i meant the deal where they say that 4 times a year they mail you a check for 2 percent of what you spent. is that before or after coupons?

After. So the way I do things I will hardly ever make anything from that. I have not gotten one of those yet. I might get $1 this time.

How was the rest of your holiday, not just the deals? I miss hearing other things.
