"It's gonna be a bright, bright sunshiney day..."

Things definitely look a lot better today than they did yesterday. Even though I didn't feel like myself yesterday, I was still aware of all the blessings I have.

While I was at work yesterday it was so hard to make myself just sit at my desk and work. I was restless and wanted to be somewhere else. I couldn't think of anything that would make me "happy". Usually chocolate, garage sales, going out to eat, or something like that would perk me up. One of my co workers asked if I wanted to go to the thrift shop and I turned her down. That is so not like me!

I finally ended up going out for lunch with Kelli (the one I share my office with). We went to the grocery store and I got bread, Funyons, and cookies. We went to a local park and fed the ducks (they don't like Funyons by the way). I made Kelli eat a couple of Funyons so that I wouldn't have to say I ate the whole bag (and we're not talking snack size). Ha ha. The weather was perfect and it was so relaxing to sit and just watch the ducks and listen to the water.

I still didn't want to work when I got back, but it was a little better. At suppertime, Barb (the one who wanted to go to the thrift store to cheer me up), went and brought us back Big Mac meals from McDonald's. I stayed at work until 8 or so and then came home. I tried going to bed at 10, but actually fell asleep near 11. Either way, I got almost 8 hours of sleep before Ethan came in this morning.

Ethan was making noise and being goofy in our bed this morning. I told Tim that it was too early for "this" (meaning Ethan). He said "This is what I miss every day". Wow. I totally take for granted the goofy snuggling times in bed in the morning with whichever boy wakes up first. I need to see it more as a blessing and not something that interrupts my sleep!

I got a nice surprise when Tim reminded me that he didn't have to work today. I wasn't expecting that. I'm not sure what we will be doing this weekend, but this morning Tim is taking a boy shopping with him (to have some one on one time) and I am taking the other two shopping with me. We'll see how it goes. Tyler is very upset that Ethan got to go with daddy.

If you share an office with someone you should always share your funyon or doritos, that is nasty breath for the one not eating them. I'm glad you feel better.I think we all need reminders of the little blessing, especially in the morning or middle of the night when we're sleepy.
